the stars

the stars

A Poem by Chloe
"

Written June 7th and dedicated to a friend of mine. First two lines popped into my head when I was doing laundry. I know it's pretty cliche, but I like it the more that I read it. xD

"

She never believes me when I say I love her,
But I'd reach into the sky and move the stars for her.
She says I don't mean the things that I do,
And won't listen when I say I'll become someone new.
I'd search a whole field to find her a four-leaf clover;
I'd die for her over, over, and over;
For her I'd write something new to sing
For her, I'd hang each star on a string,
And hang every single one in her room.
For her, I'd howl under the moon in June.

I don't think it's all too cliche, it's genuinely heartfelt.
Very mellifluous.
