Just Because You're Free Doesn't Mean You're Better Than Me

Just Because You're Free Doesn't Mean You're Better Than Me

A Poem by Tom Costello

The biggest lie of all,
Was that my jaw locked obsidian black,
Our eyes crossed, you looked pretty in that picture.
That clichés always stick with me because they’re true.

The biggest lie of all was that
I write inaccessible poems just because I don’t want you to understand them.
