Love?

Love?

A Poem by Alastair

I try to see you when ever i can
Not saying much i admire you... discreetly
Your beautiful smile, your beautiful eyes
I gaze at you only interrupted by you looking back
I will! tell you my feelings
Soon, later... never
But I'll guarantee they'll be written down
I never got the chance to smile at you
For our life is in two different worlds
But why do i come to see you?
Why do you make me speechless?

Danielle, i write your name down slowly
As you're the first named in my eloquent poetry
Your eyes touch me indirectly
My lips refusing to move when your next to me
Pushing me towards the brink of insanity
The only bright side is that you don't know
Yet why does this fill me with despair and woe?

You make me want to try
Even though our meetings are just hello and goodbye
For the first time my voluntary isolation
Has become my greatest flaw
I want to approach you
I want to talk to you
Know you, admire you, want you
If only you knew how hard it was
Just wanting to try
Forgive me... it's just that i lack
In the art of wooing
So... please listen before my heart bursts
I don't want you to be my first true love,
I want you to be my only
I want you to end the feeling
Of me being lonely

I like where this work takes my imagination. I can't help but ask... is it about an internet romance?
