Chapter 5: The moon and the wind, will they, won’t they

The day after the two brothers reunited, Cynthia had finally woke up from her unconscious state. Ryz had taken Cyn back to Lillian’s and and decided to stay out of pure concern, and maybe love. Cyn is awake but bandaged and limping a bit, Lillian was concerned about Cyn, though she acted as though she was completely fine. Both of them constantly helped her around the house despite her wishes. Lilian is now currently cooking, and Ryz and Cynthia are talking in the living room. 

“Wait, hold on, let me get this straight, your Agni’s brother?”

“Yes”

“And you and Agni come from a different world?”

“Yes”

“Hmm…who’s been here longer”

“Agni, but I'm the Older one”

Cynthia’s eyes light up with curiosity “Who’s Stronger?!”

Lillian, who had been watching from the kitchen, noticed something they didn’t. One, that Cynthia had laid down on Ryz’s lap, and two, that both of their eyes looked like Black holes, their pupils dilated an impressive amount.

Mumbling to herself  “Guarda chi si sta innamorando..”

“So, Ryz? How did you find Cynthia?” Ryz and Lilli hadn’t introduced themselves since Lillian’s attention was purely on Cynthia. She made a friend and she is NOT going to lose her.

“Oh, Cynthia was the one who found me, I was having an episode and she helped me through it. But then she fainted from the loss of blood. So I brought her to Agni and now we are here.”

“Hmm..” Is Lillian listening? No, she is overthinking about how she just left the place when the police were around. How stupid and irresponsible of her for not just teleporting them away, she could have saved the trouble and not have Cynthia quite weak right now.

Lillian stays awfully quiet. She just nods and continues cooking, her thoughts keep telling her that she is the one to blame, her friend wouldn't be in this condition if she just did the right thing. God, being immortal sucks sometimes, if it wasn’t ‘cause she doesn’t have any angelical weapon with her, she would have killed herself already.

“Hello?” 

“Huh, What?”

“Nothing you just zoned out for a minute, wanted to make sure nothing happened, I know humans have this thing where they zone out for a minute and then just come back at random, I think they call it “Iron deficiency”, didn't know it could happen to Angels”

“What… no, that's not what happened, was just thinking about something”
“Your feeling bad about the gorgeous Cynthia getting hurt, there's no need, she’s fine, is she not?”

“Bro, what...”

Blushes “...”

Realizing what he said “...”

“Did you just-”

“IT SLIPPED OKAY”

“Sure, you totally didn't think that since you met her, nope”

“Shut it”

“I'm never gonna let you forget this”

Sighs “I did this to myself”

“But… Do you really think that?”

He turns around and tries to look her in the eyes but can’t, and instead just turns and leaves for Agni’s

“Ryz, answer me please”

He walks out the door, nods at her, spreads his wings, and leaves. Cynthia blushes as she realizes what the nod meant, he did mean it, he really did. This made her heart skip a beat, she had plenty of people in her own kingdom like her, she often felt as if though they only wanted to marry her for the money and fame, but she could tell that Ryz was different. She could tell Ryz wanted to love her as if she was of his own blood, as a person, and not just use her for attention. He wanted to genuinely love her, for her. This thought left her internally rambling, and externally. Poor Lillian had to listen to her ramble about him, her feelings on him, the way the feeling was new, etc. Long story short, Lillian was falling asleep. As for Ryz, he went home to Agni to do the same, except Agni was laughing at him, not in a mean way, in a brotherly way. Agni may be a proper person, but he is not above brotherly teasing.

Laughing his a*s off  “your telling me, you fell for my Boyfriend’s SISTER”

“Okay, several Questions. One, Your gay? Secondly, you have a Boyfriend! Yay! Third, I fell for your Boyfriend’s WHAT!”

“One, yes, Two, he denies liking me but i can see it in his eyes, and other places ;), and three, his sister, he’s probably not gonna like that, he’s really protective of her”

“HOW DID I MANAGE THAT!”

Realizing something “Wait, your boyfriend is a god?”

“Yes”

“How, just how”

“I don't know but then again you're saying this while being a dragonborn, people could ask how your a dragonborn”

“Fair enough, but dragonborns are normal in our world”

“And so was being in a relationship with deities”

“Okay, you've proven your point”

“There, now I have one question” teasing “did you really call her gorgeous right in front of her”

“SHUT UP”

Agni just starts to laugh his a*s off as he sees Ryz go red with embarrassment and punch him in the shoulder.
