Things I've Lost::WIPA Poem by Jordan Bryant
Countless bobby pins, pens, earring backs and my keys
socks, shoes, hours, hair bands, brushes and clips. CDs, DVDs, cassettes, friendships, self-esteem, games, matches, tournaments, and arguments. money, homework assignments, memories and sticks of gum. Roller skates, faith, five pages of an essay I wrote but forgot to save my patience, permission slips, worksheets, receipts poems written on napkins, scrap paper and playbills. tubes of chapstick, lipstick, lip gloss, fake eyelashes pencil erasers, notebooks, notepads and address books stuffed animals, Barbie clothes, hot wheels, innocence, t-shirts, sweatshirts, my mom at the grocery store my virginity on the floor of a dorm room remote controls, control, rolls of quarters myself. you.
