Abuse is such a fascinating word, simply because we so often attach pleasure to the term (masturbation was long deemed "self abuse' by most). I love the way this drives home the point of mutualism, but I still get some sense of a desire of complete self abuse, in any form really, physically pleasurable or not. If nothing else, wow, loved this piece.

There is an intensity that tries to feed an endless hunger... a powerful longing that dances in and out of the mind... Your words give it color and substance..
its deep. i agree with spoken when she mentioned the thin line between pain and pleasure but if the point comes when there is more abuse then love...its time to leave. in fact any abuse is should not be allowed. but if its some what of a game for you and your lover. then i cant say anything agents that. all and all a great pome. and there are times when we are pulled into something because we have gone threw it most if not all of our lives.
There is a thin line between pain and pleasure it is easily crossed but it is difficult as we pass our own judgement on what pleases us so the pain maybe isn't enjoyed mentally as much as the pleasure. Also an abusive relationship should never be taken as pleasure but who knows what the mind enjoys. Great write.
love is confusing, the moments we get caught up in are the most mind boggling! we think we want one thing and as soon as we are in the room with the person we love, we completely change our minds again. great poem though.
Very nice message, I like it! I would be careful leaving so many short lines and long lines mixed together, because it can often disrupt the flow of the poem. But other than that, I think you did a good job :)
I am an Allie :)
