Modern-Day CinderellaA Poem by Allie :)This is by far the most popular one I have posted onto here! :)Why do I insist on torturing myself over impossible fantasies?
My prince on his brilliant white horse is to crowded by his loving people to notice the small girl waiting in the corner.
My fair godmother ran away, beaten and bruised by the harsh fists of reality.
My glass slipper shattered long before "Once upon a time", leaving me hopeless.
on the wall who's the fairest of them all? I ask this and my reflection laughs.
My 7 dwarfs, lies, pain, secrets, judgement, heartbreak, disrespect, and darkness lead me to the poison apple. Take a bite. Everyone's doing it.
Rub the lamp make a wish to be anywhere but here.
Stepsisters sneak away at night, leaving me alone to talk to the mice.
The glimmer of Neverland dims when Peter grows old and withered.
Clock strikes 12 ring around the rosey, we all fall dead. © 2011 Allie :) |
