The Apple

The Apple

A Poem by AF
"

The evolution of evil.

"

So innocent…

So pure…

So curious…

So unsure…

One simple rule,

All plain and said.

How man would be saved,

If they'd just used their head.

But in came the snake,

The devil in our mind.

And the fruit sweetly hung,

The temptation against the kind.

A tiny little bite,

That’s all that it took.

They let the evil in,

Going against God’s book.

And oh how it grew,

In our hatred filled world.

We fall to pits of Hell,

As the crime has unfurled.

People cry out,

Victims of this war.

How to escape this terror,

Unleashed at the core.

One simple rule,

All plain and said.

How man would be saved,

If they'd just used their head.
