One More Loss

One More Loss

A Poem by AF
"

This was a cool challenge I saw online: Pick a couple newspaper articles and select various words and phrases to string together into a poem. So here you have it- the ordinary goes to extraordinary.

"

Only a matter of time until I hear.

Still desperately hoping for the chance to appear.

Nobody answered.

I've grown accustomed to this show

Because it's the only show I know.

The advent of winners and losers:

They can't pick both, so someone will lose.

I lost.

The bumpy road to New York is long.

Motives and actions; courage to do the song

I want to learn from it.

I've got a long way to go.

For now, just knocking at the door of Broadway,

With all the doors seemingly closed.
