One Word

Just another poem for your enjoyment. This one is a little bit lighter.

One word can describe so many things…

It can tell how you’re feeling, 

Whether that be happy or sad.

It can take friends away,

Or let the close ones add.

It can change your look on life,

Turning the tables round and around.

If can accompany a beautiful song,

Filling the air with a sweet, simple sound.

It can paint a picture,

And let the mind explore.

It can show you the future,

Then leave you wanting more.

I stand before you.

You glare at me in an expecting way.

My teeth chatter. My legs tremble.

One word can describe so many things...

I just hope I pick the right one to say.
