Things that Inspire MeA Poem by Whispering Pines
A trickle of water on borrowed stone,
a living forest where ferns do grow a softish light through foliage shines, a storm of which dark rainclouds sign. A secret flower in the shade, a cool dark pool where cattails wade. A emerald vine growing for the sky, a whispering stream with moss nearby a pile of riverstones covered just, an illumation of dancing dust the whispering wind in blossoms of white, the call of a loon in the darkest night the song of a bird awakening spring, a graying rock for moss to cling the whitish moon, a coin on the black an icy cold wind in which the oldest trees crack a raging river which stops for none, a sleeping forest where deer do run a glimmer of silver in a quiet pool through a small canyon a breeze is cool These are the things that inspire me, these are the things that make me free. © 2012 Whispering Pines |
