A Few Short Attempts / At Writing Haiku Poems / For Poetry Class

A Poem by BL McKinney

Just your vibration

in a blue jean left pocket,

forces me to smile.

breathe deep into those

dark sacs they have named the lungs.

stress makes its exit.

melt inside my eyes,

let this rough skin comfort you.

I promise, I know.

too soon to spend time

thinking about it. yet too

late to disengage.

“if you can't fix it,

you have to stand it. for as

long as you can ride.”
