Through Their EyesA Poem by GCInspired by 9/11, kept relevant by the War in Iraq. The blood of men has been spilt; their sons are angry. For no child's father is a villain in his child's eyes. To the child, he was a hero; he will be avenged. "Other men will fall for his death, Their sons will feel our anguish." But the ranks of other men's sons are infinite. There will always be "Others," But there is only one "Me." A battle for survival, leaving nothing for want. For until the day when man can understand That we are all under the same heaven, There will be no end to the "Others." © 2008 GC |
