My journey eternalA Poem by IbrahimIn search of a long-found love.
My journey eternal
Here I stand at the pinnacle of my private procrastinations. Shielded from the bulging beauty of the world. That splendid creature, a recluse; elusive and yet omnipresent. Masked with a patina of transient disguise. She slowly whispers, her words a loving caress. Calling me out in a haze of potent pleasure. The sycamore leaves crack crisply under my frenzied footsteps. Murmuring directions to a blinded man. The insidious mastery of my elusive mistress arouses me. My thirst for her only dimmed by the fear of an actual encounter. For what could I do once I gazed into this fragile flower? Only destruction at my callous hands. And so I follow a road I hope shall never end. After all, man destroys that which he loves most. © 2012 IbrahimAuthor's Note
