My journey eternal

My journey eternal

A Poem by Ibrahim
"

In search of a long-found love.

"
My journey eternal

Here I stand at the pinnacle of my private procrastinations.
Shielded from the bulging beauty of the world.
That splendid creature, a recluse; elusive and yet omnipresent.
Masked with a patina of transient disguise.

She slowly whispers, her words a loving caress.
Calling me out in a haze of potent pleasure.
The sycamore leaves crack crisply under my frenzied footsteps.
Murmuring directions to a blinded man.

The insidious mastery of my elusive mistress arouses me.
My thirst for her only dimmed by the fear of an actual encounter.
For what could I do once I gazed into this fragile flower?
Only destruction at my callous hands.

And so I follow a road I hope shall never end.
After all, man destroys that which he loves most.

Hmmmm...the vocabulary used in this piece definitely enhances it and made it very enjoyable to read. As for the story as a whole, I absolutely love it. The lust, the undertone of apprehension...brilliant.
