Bliss and BilisiA Poem by #yhungspiycA tale of woe. the writer tells the story of man who got more than he asked for.
I woke up today
another bright day or so I thought I arm myself with muddled thoughts out to war I go to face the world I know a man of many problems I am I wear no crown so why this unease you want to know don't you? I'm a man of many ills rising and falling from hills I bargained for bliss but I got bilisi I bargained for diamonds but I got pebbles in my darkest hours they came offering to show me the light all they asked for simple it was to forget life is simple embrace them was all I did lost my soul was all I did asked for bliss was all I did gave me bilisi was all they did on a highway to hell I was led by pleasure and lust I thought I had bliss now I know it's bilisi somebody save me I can see heaven but I can only glare because I'm a son of perdition I took the wrong turn and now sulphur and brimstone awaits instead of the Pearly gates and gold lined roads bliss I wanted bilisi they gave me bilisi- means ills in Yoruba #yhungspiyc © 2016 #yhungspiycAuthor's Note
