Blame

Blame

A Poem by The High Poet
"

Looking into blame.....

"

 Blame

Why can't I do anything right?

Hold my anger, its time to fight

You always ask me why I lie

Learned from you, seen it with my eye

You taught me how to deceive

Now it's part of my diseases

I used believe everything is because of me

But now I have learned to truly see

You hate in me what you hate in you

Project it on me so you don't have to

Truly see what you really are

You dulled the light of my shinning star

Wow, very powerful poem. My favorite line was:
"You hate in me what you hate in you Project it on me so you don't have to Truly see what you really are"
Fantastic way to capture that particular sentiment. It happens so frequently and discussed so little. instead of being personally accountable for the things we have inside, we project it on others, see it others and confront it in them, instead of confronting that which we don't like with ourselves first and then using that experience. Enjoyed it very much! :)

Very powerful - rings true for so many I know. The fact that one blames others for their own shortcomings is so true. Great write.

Self doubt is a stubborn and shameless beast. You illustrate the point nicely and you wrap it up well with telling such a beast that it's dulled your vibrance. I like how, by the end, the blame has turned outward from your inside. That's a lot to work in to a short poem. Nice work indeed.

A very insightful write and one that speaks the truth.

I feel you in this one...alot of raw emotion, bursting at the seams even...
but please remember this...
when a person white-washes truth to make themselves a perfect rosethey end up being the only perfect rose in a large pile of B.S.,so much so,
that they stand out like a sore thumb,
it becomes obvious to the rest of the world they try to control,
just how weak they really are...it is good to let these things out sometimes.

Wow, this is very pretty, yet very sad. I found this line in particular, very detailed and descriptive:
'You hate in me what you hate in you Project it on me so you don't have to'
It's one of those lines that get's stuck in your head.
Great write !
