Oliveretta

Oliveretta

A Poem by theOsiePosie

It's all a mistake, my darling Jack
Come home with me
Don't worry, darling
But I'm pretty weak

Mama and Papa aren't here to see
How I love you so
But the poison is strong
Strong as my love

My darling Jack, you hold me tight
Then kiss me close
'Til my eyes can not see
'Cause I'm pretty weak

Dance with me, Jack
Dance with my heart
Come settle beside me
Never worry, my darling

'Cause you're my darling Jack
With the stardust that we clasp
We dance with our hearts
Until the poison hit me

And it hit her like a shot
She shrieked as she fell
'Poison' it read
And it covered her tongue

Slowly she was slipping
But neither would admit
My Ollie would not stay
I worried for my darling

I danced with her heart
And held her tight
I kissed her close
'Til she was blinded

I loved her so
But the poison was strong
Strong as my love
So she comforted me

'It's all a mistake, my darling Jack
Come home with me
Don't worry, darling
But I'm pretty weak.'
