A Person With a Phone and a Pen

A Person With a Phone and a Pen

A Poem by theOsiePosie

We used to laugh until we cried
And we cried until we laughed
Our secrets were told and never shared
I thought things would never change
But here I am without you.

You changed for no benefit
But for a picture behind glass
You drifted and drifted
And never looked back...
On little old me

Little old me who is lost in herself
Wondering in circles
I asked how you were
'Quite well' you replied
You had no concern over me

Me who is on her knees
Wondering when will our times repeat
Maybe soon, maybe never
Well there was no goodbye
Just a text 'I'm moving'

A text is not enough
I thought we'd know each other forever
Through marriages, births and losses
But now what is our future?
A person with a phone and a pen.
