I Watched You Go

I Watched You Go

A Poem by boygene borice
"

Love in despair

"

I don’t need you anymore,

I wish I couldn’t have come for you,

You are just a piece of s**t!

These words left me in pieces.

Me? A piece of s**t?

But I just watched you.

I watched you as you hugged him tightly,

As you touched his lips with your,

Beautiful fingers, sliding them slowly,

Like a snail upon a smooth surface.

I watched you, as you held him,

Touching his chin as if he was your king,

How your smile made him glow radiant,

The world was yours and him.

I watched you, as he swung you around,

As he made you chuckle endlessly,

His sweet words filling your heart,

But I interrupted not, I loved you.

I watched you, as you flirted with him,

Texting all night, his texts made you sigh,

Even in the midst of the night,

But I kept quiet, you were my queen.

I hid my anger from you,

Does love become angry?

Does love hurt?

I couldn’t hurt you, but let you be.

He is better than you! You cried,

He is a gentleman, you praised him,

You can’t even sustain me enough! You rattled,

But I kept silent, I loved you.

And when you walked away that day,

My heart bled more than before,

I lost myself, I was already dead,

I just had to watch you go.

Now, I’m sorry, don’t come,

I’m still that piece of s**t,

I’m not a gentleman, but still a mediocre,

Do you think you can still live with a piece of s**t?

'I watched you, as he swung you around,

but I interrupted not, I loved you.

I watched you, as you flirted with him,
texting all night, his texts made you sigh,
even in the midst of the night,
but I kept quiet, you were my queen.'

Those are powerful, sad yet poetically wonderful words united in those two stanzas (paragraphs).

Reading this poem I can feel your pain and patience and resilience all that the same time.
It's as though you were being stitched up whilst alive. It's as though you were being robbed of your love in broad daylight.

But then you show strength by refusing being taken for granted, used, abused and insulted ever again; because you woke up from love's general anaesthetic and came back to your senses.

WELL DONE
WHAT A WONDERFUL POEM!!!

A piece of s**t, indeed, repeated lines drive the grime home... I am sorry as my heart bleeds once more... Very nicely penned...
