Turquoise Blues

Broken by a turquoise promise

My reality crashes hard into me

I took a taxi to arrive at this point

Don’t wave a gun at me man no

Hardships are the mistaken play

These curtains don’t draw long

This is a compelling blend of stark imagery and introspective reflection, capturing the complexities of human emotions and the fragile nature of promises whose starkness and raw honesty explores disillusionment, struggle, and a fleeting sense of hope. Its evocative language makes it a resonant piece that is sure to linger in the mind of the disposed reader.

Was my pleasure duff and you are welcome.
Hello duff, this short piece conveys much emotion. Broken promises can create havoc. I felt a spiral downwards here, without a solution in sight.

Cheers Chris. Thank you.
'Broken by a turquoise promise' is a killer opening line. esoteric, yet full of emotion. the rest of the poem rocks, it is an anthem for the scatter-brained, the lost and confused, the desperate. the last line with the curtains almost marks the end of the play, but they 'don't draw long,' which seems to imply the drama is set to continue beyond the page.
