A season to remember

A season to remember

A Poem by Destiny
"

My mother wrote this, I'm getting the first stanza tattooed this year.

"

The moon waned and waxed

Night called upon the day

I saw the ocean through your eyes

Tide pushed the shore away

Like a blazing fire

Against a sheet of ice

I lived in darkness

Unscathed by your light

Time passed with a vengeance

And then the sun returned

Like an angel of comfort

As my broken heart burned

Color filled the sunset

And then embraced the sky

Challenging me, changing me

As time passed by

Now howling winter winds

Move restlessly against the leaves

And my soul is filled with sorrow

Since you’re not here with me
