Winter In Belnap 3A Poem by Anthony
my second day in belnap unit.
there's a gigantic distance between my comprehension, my disposition and how life is behaving outside my window, tracing along the skyline. i am a prisoner of decisions i made which follow me around everywhere. as if were like some southern humidity bathing my skin and smearing all the sweat juice from my face along my torso and ribcage. i'm awoken with a responsibility from the staff to get back on my feet. each step is walking on young frozen bone past patients left as they evolved to something supposedly higher. the scars i leave on the back of this tissue box, i hope will extend like the slavery of my freedoms to self destruction. I'll plant food someday © 2011 Anthony |
