Hallow'd, Thy Name Is Sweet Memories

Hallow'd, Thy Name Is Sweet Memories

A Poem by Rachel K.

Ahhh, my sweetling, I remember so young,
The sweetness of youth, still warm on my tongue.
There was a young man, as surely there always will be,
We loved fair and true, forever, him and me.
Our passion flaired, honest and true, more than no lover never knew.
I remember, so clearly, his eyes artfully made,
Mossy, sea green depths of purest jade.
I craved his company- he craved mine too!
We completed each other as those in love do.
We shared many laughs, till tears ran from our eyes,
We knew our destiny was linked till the day we died.
But, he is gone now, my hair long since turned white,
My dear Granddaughter, do not fret- I am all right.
My time on God's earth may be limited now, but, look at it this way,
I shall be with your grandfather in a short while.

Rachel K.
just picture this... a kindly, plump, wizened, sweet old grandma telling her little baby faced grandgirl about her grandpa up in heaven.
