I'm in a rut 

Don't know what for 

I just want to relax 

And nothing more 

I don't understand 

Why out of nowhere 

People dig up the past 

Like no one will care 

Do they think they can hide it 

Do they think people won't see 

Every time it happens 

It's obvious to me 

You change your demeanor 

Your tone changes too 

I can't help but feel broken 

Sad, inadequate, blue 

So maybe one day 

Your dreams will come true 

But honey, know this 

There will only be me, not you
