Broken Gravity

Broken Gravity

A Poem by thatgrl_logan
"

Loving someone who cares about you but doesn't love you

"

If I could pick who I loved I wouldn't pick you
Hurts so much I don't know what to do
No matter how much I try
I'm drawn to you like magnets hypnotized

I want to hate you but you're so sweet
If you were meaner at least
I'd leave with ease
Instead I'm trapped in your eyes
My broken gravity

Don't hug me if I cry
Don't catch me when I fall
You're just supplementary
It's not enough
Three quarters of real love
Can't stop feeling

Break my heart one more time
Rip the bandaid I'll be fine
Everything to hault
The slow crumble of my swollen heart

If I could pick who I loved it wouldn't be you

Such sentiments many people, I have a strong feeling, would relate. Life. Love. Breaking hearts. Leaving. Being left. These and other things send us through emotional agony throughout our lives. It isn't fair, but it is what it is.
