These ChildrenA Poem by thatemogirl16This was a school assignment for my religion class. I just need to put it here, so you don't have to read itWalking around the halls are these
children, these precious children.
You would never be able to tell what
they have been through by just looking deep into their sweet and innocent
souls, deep into those circles of love, happiness, anger, sorrow, or distance
from the world.
Walking through these halls are
these children, these glorious children.
By just talking with these amazing
youths, by them running up to you with their smiles from ear to ear, by them eagerly
wanting to hold your hand, the darkness is obliterated.
Walking through these halls are
these children, these amazing children.
Hearing about their family lives
from the one who truly cares for them, teaches them, enjoys their presence is
the mother of the classroom.
Walking through these halls are
these children, these confused children.
The over thinking of why I can’t see
mommy, why I can’t see daddy, why I can’t find any food at home, why I can’t
have my parents back……why?
Walking through these halls are
these children, these diverse children.
Despite their appearances, I've never seen better friendships between oneself and their classmates, these
precious, glorious, amazing, confused, and diverse children. © 2015 thatemogirl16Author's Note
