A Poem by Cas

I taught you how to craft;
we worked our way through the barrel,
the chamber,
the oils and the powders.

I smiled, as you charmed me
with that stupid smile you always wear.

I held out my hand,
letting you take it.

Let you pull me into your world,
your heart,
your orbit.

Then I heard a soft click.

No apologies.
No closure.
No explanation.

About
Hello, everyone! I'm Casee, a poet along the east coast. I often find my days reminiscing of what could have been, and what could be, while drowning myself in the musical talent of others. I hope you .. more..
