The Painter Captured

The Painter Captured

A Poem by Kenaz
"

Heavy Handed

"
A hand reached into the untold,
Paint flowed from the brush,
Red, yellow, umber, gold,
Fire fell through in a hush,
And in that moment truth was told.
The colours swam out warm and bold,
Heavy lips shaking in a rush
It was the hardest word he ever whispered,
Syllables too heavy to hold,
They flooded into the gasping dark,
And gave to it a daring spark.

It seems, the moon and sun kissed before they could see each other.... gravity too heavy to hold, thus syllables, not possible, for they land no matter what on this site, while they were before, so weightless...

Supernova poetry. Loved it.

The imagery was delicious! I like the "Syllables too heavy to hold." Art, I feel like you captured something unconquerable. Like you just took hold of a cloud. The only truth is art as far as I'm concerned! Thank you for writing.
