The Painter CapturedA Poem by KenazHeavy HandedA hand reached into the untold, Paint flowed from the brush, Red, yellow, umber, gold, Fire fell through in a hush, And in that moment truth was told. The colours swam out warm and bold, Heavy lips shaking in a rush It was the hardest word he ever whispered, Syllables too heavy to hold, They flooded into the gasping dark, And gave to it a daring spark.
