Mirror, MirrorA Poem by KenazFun commentary with a pair of sonnet like poemsOh mirror, mirror in the sky, Who is the fairest way up high? 'Tis the one who sheds his light, And shreds the darkness of the night. Why doth ray and sea grow nigh, Once the silence pass him by? The mirror never leaves my ken, 'Tis only brighter in the den. There where Stygian hands are dealt, Moonlight brings the pines to melt. Amongst the teething mouths of men, The mirror feeds the starving pen. Wan reflection make me sage, Bring me thoughts to nurse the page. The daylight feeds the starving page And gives the ray to guide the way. To the glass doth star compare? With us doth his splendour share. Alas, the mirror echoes grace, And always shows the other’s face. So the mirror gains my praise And I shall wait for night to raise In ord to on the favored gaze But not forget the king of days, For his reflection is the blaze, That doth allow our stocks to graze. Adore the moon in all her grace, But don’t forget her brother’s face. © 2013 KenazAuthor's Note
