Song of the Spring

Song of the Spring

A Poem by Kenaz
"

Waking up- PS I realize that it is not Spring :)

"
How the comely morning sings,
'Tis only finer in the spring,
The robins stir me from my sleep,
And lift me up onto my feet.
The yawning window lets the breeze,
Of springtime dawdle in at ease,
And so as I must wake from bed,
The sun up-heaves his mighty head.
Golden rays shoot ‘cross the grass,
That turn the dewdrops all to glass,
And granules of the shingles glow,
Across the rooftops high and low.
If every morning greets me such,
I shall be merry to wake up.

Author's Note

Probably my second favorite poem that I have written. I figured that I am never getting published, so I might as well let you all see it and give me feedback. I do not like the ending so much, so let me know if you can think of a better end line. The picture is not mine unfortunately...Also let me know if you like music with my writing, I'm experimenting

The music is Primavera by Ludovico Einaudi

This poem is so peaceful and beautiful. The picture of spring is complete. It is a nice reminder of the season to soon come.

Thank you. I can't wait for winter to be over
This is so well crafted and comforting to read with such beautiful music. You did an excellent job of putting this together. The last two lines do seem slightly out of sync with the rest of the poem to me. I would simply leave them out.

That is not a bad suggestion. I'll have to think over it, thank you for reviewing.
First of all, I hear one of my favorite composers, Ludovico is my hero, it fits well with your words... he always has a great balance in his notes, from slow to fast, to slow, that's important... so are your words.

And in this poem, spring is inside of your almost winter heart, and you'll awake, halfway... or it feels also like you de froze a bit, (that your soul awakes)... There is much energy and positivism in this one, which I like... it reminds me also of a dance to happiness... it's rich, and full of melody this one, could be a great song... I found the last line not boring at all, it shows perfectly where you are in "life" right now, and what your desires are. Well crafted.
