“Writing"

 

 

 

“Destiny may be envisaged as fore-ordained by the Divine (for example, the Protestant concept of predestination) or by human will (for example, the American concept of Manifest Destiny).

A sense of destiny in its oldest human sense is in the soldier's fatalistic image of the "bullet that has your name on it" or the moment when your number "comes up," or a romance that was "meant to be." The human sense that there must be a hidden purpose in the random lottery governs the selection of Theseus to be among the youths to be sacrificed to the Minotaur.

Destiny may be seen either as a fixed sequence of events that is inevitable and unchangeable, or that individuals choose their own destiny by choosing different paths throughout their life.” *wikipdia

 

 

Ninety-Six months passed and at that age,

"Writing" was introduced to a universe lost.

A voice whispered and stated that it was looking for me.

I don't know, I don't know where it came from, from paradise,

or a mountain high.

"Writing", maybe it appeared from an unknown land, without warning,

without compromise, it attacked I, like a thief in the night.

That night resembles forever and is embedded in my consciousness.

Though I am not sure the exact time, a harmonious rhythm invaded my personal space,

it was without a face, it indeed touched me and I felt my soul rejoice…A place unfamiliar.

I did not understand the language just yet, my mouth could not decipher,

or articulate…"Writing"

Eyes without sight, a glow penetrated darkness, I was almost complete-

That glow, that fire, that spark…Lit a torch created by my weak hands,

They started to shake,

At that time,

I wrote the first line of a dream

No focus, no insight, no direction…the words…far from perfection-

"Writing", became my life direction…

Ink continues to retire on my hand 23 moons later, as I express and narrate,

A date with destiny…
