A Treachery

A Treachery

A Poem by Tha Lunatic

I bleed for your every breath,
the freedom promised to me.
Though I've been misguided,
as cowards they hide it,
their blood will fill the streets.

I'll fight beyond the last man
so please don’t be mistaken.
When my heart stops beating
and my lungs stop breathing,
you will see me rise again.

You will be the first to die
if your eyes cannot see.
They are the keepers of law
that you all applaud,
knowing you’ll never be free.

Your imaginary freedoms sacrificed,
debased so you feel safe.
And the people are content
to always pay rent,
forever a slave to the State.

The weak fools are dreaming
mouthing propaganda from a hippie.
The opportunity is passing
to rally the masses,
destined to die in their sleep.
