Shameless

Shameless

A Poem by thalia

Is it selfish to ask you to stay?
I want to make it up
You were hurt, but i was too busy with myself
I was blind, I was deaf
I couldn't see or hear your hints
Your cries, your tears and screams
Can you come back now?
To hug me and tell me everything will be fine
Can you at least look at me in the eyes for one last time?
I need you, no, we need you
We need the warmth of your voice,
Your eyes, and your beautiful smile
Now it's your turn, to rest and be happy
But promise me my love
You, an angel from heaven,
Will watch over me
Here in this cruel world
Away from you
Your halo is all around me
Trying to lift me up
To a place I’ve never been
So I’m asking you now
Do you want me to
Do you need me
I’m just convincing myself like usual
You’re better off without me
