Polaroid

Polaroid

A Poem by the thalassophile

Sometimes I think of trust like a polaroid,
something to hold dear and preserve
a reminder of love and friendship
one of a kind and precious

Sometimes I think of trust like a polaroid,
something which develops over time
if you damage it whilst its not yet formed
the image comes out twisted and incomplete

Sometimes I think of trust like a polaroid.

But you burnt that Polaroid.
The ink consumed in the endless fire of your ignorance,
leaving me nothing but a faded memory of the photo we took.
