Look further than the surface

Look further than the surface

A Poem by thisXgirlXcanXrawr(:

Your hair falls upon your shoulders
As the wind begins to blow slowly
Sitting at the base willow tree
With your legs pulled to your chest
Looking out onto the field before you

You notice small things as
Your looking at the field
A small doe is gallaping across
The smooth green grassed plain
You look the other way and see
Birds flying in the sky

The fragile branches upon the willow tree
Begin to blow in the wind
Your hair blows to one shoulder
And your eyes begin to water
Because looking at the field
Reminds you of happiness

For a moment you dint know why
Your beginning to cry
But then you think back
Onto the past and remember
You remember that everything
Was never this peacful

All you can remember is screaming,
Crying, fear, and other unmentionable things
You hope you never have to go back
To a terrable time such as that
Even though it's still not the
Best of time now

Wiping away your tears
You smile at the scene
In front of you
And you know you'll always remember
That there are beautiful things
Out there somewhere
It's just sometimes
You have to look at more
Than just the surface...

This is really nice. Feeling the peace all around and remembering when it wasn't that way. Appreciating where you're at now, in a much better place.

There are a few spelling mistakes in this, like your instead of you're and terrable instead of terrible and stuff like that, but it was a good poem and I enjoyed reading it. Very well done.
