The Lost Brother

The Lost Brother

A Poem by thisXgirlXcanXrawr(:

You see him there

In the pitch black of night

Murmering words

To only himself

You see him when

You close your eyes

Seeing his adorable face

That only a mother could love

When you have the slightest

Feeling that he's with you

Alive, once again

Your face lights up like the moon in the dark sky

Occasionally you see him when you dream

You see you both playing in that little sandbox

You had so

Many years ago

You hug yourself

Pretending that it's him

You cry your heart out because you lost him

For he was your brother

Your blood

And because of that faithful night

He's gone

The only thing that he left behind

Were broken hearts

And memories, that you'll never forget

An amazing write, and very touching I might add. I have never lost a sibling but this helped me feel what it must feel like. The emotion was so strong here and the flow and word choice was out of this world! great job

Oh wow!!! This poem brought sooo many memories back about my brother! I can relate to every single line in this piece. Oh and rhyming poem isn't always the best way to write. This piece was great...just as it is. I love this poem! Great writing :)
