A FADING STARA Poem by KCthelastboyscoutaging can be a cruel thing
Once, she shined so brightly in the spotlight
Now, her bloom has peeled away, a petal at a time The reign of grey has overtaken a portrait of vibrant color Still respected Still adored But no longer relevant in the modern world of celebrity When all the stars have been placed before your feet How do you fill the void of no longer being the object of desire? She has not aged gracefully An excess of hidden vices have taken a toll on her physical appearance Life for her is no longer evolving, it has evolved in full Although her glow has dimmed, we still must look up at the sky to find her She remains above us all...always © 2018 KCthelastboyscoutAuthor's Note
