A VIEW AT THE LAKE

A VIEW AT THE LAKE

A Poem by KCthelastboyscout
"

'till death do us part

"
Sunset on the horizon
You and I watching an orange colored dream
We sit alone, in back of the house, with a view of the lake
Your body next to me, frail and weak, leaning next to me for comfort

This is your resting place
In my arms
Looking into your eyes, I can see your soul preparing to drift away
With your last breath, we kiss
Our fairy tale ends with a sudden rush of wind blowing through the trees

In tears of sorrow, I look at the sun... I can't imagine anything more beautiful

Dylan Thomas once wrote that Death shall have no dominion; and that though lovers be lost, love shall not

He was so right; and though your sentiment seems the opposite, I just loved this beautiful poem.

Beccy.
