A VIEW AT THE LAKEA Poem by KCthelastboyscout'till death do us part
Sunset on the horizon
You and I watching an orange colored dream We sit alone, in back of the house, with a view of the lake Your body next to me, frail and weak, leaning next to me for comfort This is your resting place In my arms Looking into your eyes, I can see your soul preparing to drift away With your last breath, we kiss Our fairy tale ends with a sudden rush of wind blowing through the trees In tears of sorrow, I look at the sun... I can't imagine anything more beautiful (fiction) © 2018 KCthelastboyscoutAuthor's Note
