JANET COOKE scandal rocks the Washington Post ( fabrication at its finest)
POPE JOHN PAUL II is shot but not killed (God was on his side.Literally)
THE DELOREAN car is introduced (michael j. fox becomes surprisingly intrigued)
ANWAR SADAT Egyptian president is shot and killed
MTV lauches ( they used to show actual music videos. really!!)
SIMON and GARFUNKEL reunite in Central Park playing to a million people ( who's going to clean up after that party?)
RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and CHARIOTS OF FIRE rule the movies
ENDLESS LOVE rules the radio (great song movie sucked)

My birthday was on Friday October 16th. What was my view of the world at the time..." Mommy and Daddy are always fighting over bills. I hope someday somebody kills it so they don't have to worry anymore"
