A NIGHT AT THE JAZZ CLUB

A NIGHT AT THE JAZZ CLUB

A Poem by KCthelastboyscout

a great night long ago

The gentlemen who are on stage proceed with their instruments accordingly. Drums, bottom bass, trumpet and saxophone. The center of attention is upfront singing into a microphone. A beautiful siren casts a spell on the audience and on us. Lost in the music. Lost in each other's eyes.

Very short and to the point, and the point comes across very well.

Jazz has its own way of affecting us. I love a good baritone sax.

I love Jazz too. After the hurricane in New Orleans. All the old-time Jazz men came to Austin, Texas. I saw legends and they sang for me. I would tip large and they would sing. I agree with your thoughts. In a Jazz club. Only people who love the song. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your words.
