JUST SAY THE WORDS

The relationship is over... don't prolong it

Just say the words... Let's end this amicably. No more fighting. No more shouting. No more arguments. No more silent treatments. No more sleepless nights together. No more sleepless nights apart. Let's stop hurting each other and just say the words...Whatever we had that connected us is broken. The chain we were both bound to was rusted and weak. Now we are both lost in limbo headed in separate directions. But we have to come together once more. Come to a place we will always remember when we broke each other's hearts. Let's find our courage. Look each other in the eye... And just say the words

I think the young man in the poem was quite right. If it is over, just acknowledge it! And the ending is superb... going back to a place where the hearts were broken, and accepting (perhaps with a smile?) that it is over. Well written.
