GONE ANGEL

GONE ANGEL

A Poem by KCthelastboyscout
"

CHRIS CORNELL 1964-2017

"
" Stuttering cold and damp. Steal the warm wind tired friend. Times are gone for honest men and sometimes far too long for snakes. In my shoes walking sleep in my youth I pray to keep. Heaven send hell away, no one sings like you anymore..." BLACK HOLE SUN. Unexpectedly gone too soon. Now your voice carries from this world throughout the universe into the sweet hereafter

Author's Note

KCthelastboyscout
From Soundgarden to Audioslave the voice of Chris Cornell was supernatural. When a person dies it's only what they leave behind do you truly understand their pain and their pleasure

Beautifully worded
The words are hauntingly grasping and mesmerising.
You are correct
When a person dies that's when we truly realise their value and pain.

KCthe last boyscout,
"Gone Angel" was a lovely tribute. It was interesting to note what was his life revealed in his music shining from your soul to your page. You were really inspired by this person I think:"Heaven send hell away. No one sings like you anymore." Cris cornell would of been warmed to know of your words I am sure. Wonderful interplay between your thoughs interpreted.
Blessings, Kathy
