She fell

She fell

A Poem by tarah morris

She fell
She fell hard,
harder than before.

She can feel herself
slipping into the black
pit of the unknown.

She's trying to fight
the demons inside,
but for how much longer?

She fell
The depression hit hard
this time around.

Shes slipping deeper
and deeper into the
ocean of tears.

She's trying to fight
her way back to
the surface.

She's trying the fight
the demons inside,
but for how much longer?

She fell
The anxiety attacks are
getting stronger and stronger.
It attacks her every day
until she can no longer breathe.

These attacks,
they kill her deeply,
but yet she fights it.

She's trying to fight
the demons inside,
but for how much longer?

She fell
She's falling hard.
The stress is taking
a toll on her.

She's stressed out
to the point where
she wants to give up.

She wants to give up
so bad but she knows
that she cannot so she
continues to fight.

She's trying to fight
the demons inside,
but for how much longer?

She continues to fall
harder and harder everyday
so she fakes a smile
like nothing is wrong.

How long before it's too late?
Will someone notice it?
She guesses not.

So she continues to fight
the demon inside,
but for how much longer?

How much longer can
she fight before the
demons consume her?
