3AM Romeo and Juliette

3AM Romeo and Juliette

A Poem by Tessa

When the big hand meets the little at the three

The stage is a room of empty wine bottles

And tangled sheets

Not asleep but a good actress

(The actor played well, too)

The door quietly complains open, then closed

On the other side, a sigh

And footsteps of the exiting curtain call

I roll over and stretch out my palm

Feeling the wet spot

Still warm

Brilliant visual. Those one night stands with their standing ovations. Kudos on an excellent piece. And the poem wasn't too bad either. :)

Tessa.. having read a few of your works.. which i'll be back to review.. i have to say that you have a nice style i really enjoy the way you paint with words-- indeed you present the reader with passionate clarity
in imagery at the same time leaving specifics open to interpretation.. this poem has a soft sensuousness
consuming the moment .. the3 am.. you bring the heat to the night with this work represting crafty erotica
those times that leave the air enticed.. like spent energy in the atmosphere still being felt.. great job
