About a soldier.

About a soldier.

A Poem by Tess
"

just a short poem.

"

Don’t tell me where you're stationed at
a soldier like you should come home
back to fields of sunflowers
instead of risking yourself at war
you once drew a symbol that created such a fuss
painted on your left cheek
you now see it as disgust

What is true justice?
Killing might succeed
a peace sign to prevent this event
that could turn out to be a good deed
explosions take over
blaring out hidden cries of nature
wishing to be content
the actions of the past becomes our future.

The world is in the hands of something less
so why not stop this violence
and live perhaps.

This is the truth, but sadly it cannot be changed. It's a great write; you have talent. I especially love the last two lines:

so why not stop this violence
and live perhaps.

It's an amazing poem, and you captured the meaning perfectly. Good job!
