Little girl

 

Once there was a little girl

who played and smiled and laughed all day

she watched as her family came closer together

and that gave her all the more reason to laugh

 

but that little girl grew up

she realized that life wasn't full of gumdrops

she grew taller , she lost confidence in herself

she realized she wasn't as pretty as she used to be

 

and that little girl hides inside

because when she grew up her family died

3,4,5,6,7,8,9

but they all left her behind

 

now let me tell you something else

that happy little girl

that little beautiful girl

was me .

That is very well written, very well spoken, and very very very beautiful. You may want to change the "was'nt"'s to "wasn't"'s, but it doesn't in any way detract from the reading. This is an amazing poem, and is gorgeaus.
