Chapter 3

....Remove one straw and the marbles start to fall.

The Battle was bloody, the fallen were few and far between on the winning side. However, the losing side had few warriors left, at best 200.

Hope attended to the injured, healing them as quickly as possible. Then waiting for another to be brought to her, in the closed off circle of the half-bloods had very little excitement. By God! Mist was sitting on the ground whistling! Lily had no Idea what she was doing, Gallen was too efficient at planning for battle as long as he was around the thorn in her side would remain firmly planted there. Keller Finally stood up and said "Screw it," then she shifted and took off towards the front lines.

"Keller!" Ash yelled after her, then seeing her rip through the enemy like they were nothing but bits of wet paper; decided that he would follow her in case she did something stupid, like challenge Lily before she was strong enough. Keller always thought she was strong enough to handle anything, but Lily was the one thing that was stronger. At least, until Keller mastered witchcraft.

Lily stood back and watched her servants die for what they thought was right, what she knew wasn't. But it was the only way her family would live, from little Isabella all the way up to her and Ash even if he was fighting against her. He didn't know what was going on, not since the true evil came to her and she refused to tell him why she suddenly hated half-breeds. "Penny for your thoughts?," Caspian, her second in command asked. 

For some reason he always made things seem less real, and she liked that about him. "They're worth at least a dollar," She looked down from her horse at him. He wore a plain black t-shirt and jeans, over which he wore a bullet proof vest. She watched as he pulled out his wallet and handed her a dollar bill. She guffawed, and said "Fine, i'm thinking that this isn't right," Cas was the only person who knew her real reasons for killing innocent people, who didn't deserve to die, who were the only hope to stop the apocalypse. "I'm thinking that there has to be a way to appease him and keep the apocalypse away and keep my family alive, there has to be a way. There just has to be, right?," she said with tears on the verge of spilling.

"If anyone does, you will. You're the strongest woman I've ever known."

"Thanks, Cas," she looked up again, only to see a white wolf charging straight at her, that's when she turned the horse round and fled. So instead of Lily, Keller attacked Caspian.
