Chapter 22A Chapter by Tess
Mist slowly woke, stretching she still had her eyes closed. She worked her shoulders to get the sleep out. She went to stand up, but was blocked by someone pulling her back down. Gallen.
"Where do you think your going?" Gallen teased. "Gallen? Wha-" Then the memories from the day before came rushing back. Gallenismymate. Holy crap. Jackpot. "Are we in your room?" "Yes, I couldn't remember how to get back to yours." Mist nodded her head, and managed to sit up on the bed. Gallen smiled when she convinced him to let her stand up, her clothes were rumpled, her hair was a rats nest, and her makeup was smudged. She looked beautiful. He smiled. "Don't look at me, I look like crap." She said throwing her shoe at him. He batted it away easily, laughing slightly. Then, he stretched too and stood up from the bed. He pulled her to him and said, "You look cute. You always do," kissing the back of her neck. "You're a real kiss up, did you know that?" "I'm sure he does miss La Fey. However, we had an appointment this morning, and when I went to collect you for the appointment you weren't there. You're quite lucky I remembered that he'd been watching you. Otherwise we would have rung the alarm. Come along. I don't think you need your keeper for this." Doctor Ross said, pulling her out of the room before Gallen could object. _______ "Why'd you do that, Lib?" Mist asked her doctor and friend. "Oh, please. Don't tell me that you didn't sense that he was about to pounce!" She sounded quite frustrated. "He wouldn't do that to anyone, much less me." "Much less you? What is that supposed to mean?" Mist looked around and pulled the doctor into a empty room "I'm... I'm his mate," She stumbled over her words. The doctor looked at her like she had just said that she wanted a pet python. "Your his what?," she asked incredulously. "Shhh! I'm his mate." Mist repeated. The doctors eyes shifted around the small, silent room "I need proof, then we'll be able to move the two of you into the same room," She pulled her out of the room and towards the room where they kept clothes they might need. She pulled out a String back bikini and marched mist down to her office, locking the door she pointed to the restroom, saying " Go change, yes I know it is unusual but so is a fey claiming someone who is a seer. I need to see they mate mark. I need to see that it is his name in the mark." Mist really didn't understand but complied. A few moments later she came back out wearing something she never actually would. A freaking Bikini? Eww. She was turning when Doctor Ross Gasped. ________ It really was the mark, It really was Gallen's name written in it. It was the largest mark Doctor Elizabeth Ross had ever seen. It ran the entire width of her shoulders and went halfway down her back. There was no denying it. This small girl ,who was only five foot four, really was the fey prince's mate. _______ Gallen was pacing the room, it had been too long since his mate had left for her, apparently, mandatory doctor appointment. What is taking so damn long? He had finally given up on waiting for her to return, so he decided to go find her. When he reached Doctor Ross's office the door was locked, he figured it was for his mate's privacy and he appreciated that. He knocked on the door and heard doctor Ross say "Just a minute." He replied "It's Gallen." He heard shuffling and a door close, then he heard doctor Ross unbolt the door. "Well, Isn't this a pleasant surprise?" doctor Ross began "I'm here to collect my mate, nothing more, nothing less," Gallen said stiffly. "Collect your mate?" Doctor Ross said as Mist exited the restroom that was attached to the office. Gallen just scowled at her took Mist by the arm and she went to him willingly, he kissed the top of her head and threw a look over his shoulder at the doctor as they continued to walk down the hall. Mist had requested they go back to the indoor garden, so they did.
