Keller fought Lilly in her human form first with no advantage. Lilly was quick, Lilly has fangs, Lilly can make any part of her body hard as stone.  I can't. She switched to her white wolf form, she still didn't have the advantage and she was beginning to fade from consciousness and there was a little nagging at the back of her head telling her that she wasn't going to win this way. She new she needed to do something, but what?

Ash knew that tapping into his mates' mind while she was fighting would be a bad choice and yelling would give away that he wasn't really dead, but Keller needed to know she was part witch, there was no way that she would beat Lilly without using witch fire. Vampires only had two weaknesses. Wood from the aspen tree and fire. Unfortunately for Keller he still had her magnesium rod.

"You won't win little one. The thing is I only have to tire you out enough so that you faint, you on the other hand must kill me. We both know you don't have what it takes to kill me." An evil smile spread across her pale face, lighting the fire in her golden eyes. A soft breeze lifted her dark hair, enough so that Keller could see a scar that ran from the hairline behind her ear to the back of her jaw bone. Only scars from when we were human or that were made by FIRE or wood remain on a vampires' skin. She thought she heard Ashs' voice but she knew he was dead.
