Verra Mist LaFey went by Mist , and hated her first name . She was a fiction writer and one of her best friends was the only person who actually knew she was Grey Pride , The author of Nightworld . And this friend usually called after she posted her comments about one of the chapters , which she had done , four days ago . Keller Jane Deveraux , what is taking so long ? Mist thought to herself , when she heard someone knocking frantically on her front door . She got up to answer it and when she saw what was behind the door she almost fainted , it was a man . A man who was covered in blood, mud , and tattered clothes . She grabbed a near-by weapon in case he tried to attack her . A candlestick . Great , who am I? Professor Plum? 

"Hello?" She answered the door.

"Are you Verra LaFey ?" The homeless looking man asked .

"How do you know who I am ?" Mist replied 

" Can I come in ? There are some very bad people after my Fiance , cousin , and myself. " He said motioning to the two people who stood behind him . The girl and him look familiar , why? Mist wondered to herself .

'Uh, Yeah . And Please Call me Mist , I don't like to be called Verra. " 

" How about we just call ya' Grey Pride instead . " The girl said , obviously upset.

" How did you know I was Grey ?" 

"Better question , how did you know that I would fall in love with my attacker ? " The girl asked . 

"Who are you people ! " Mist said frightened . 

" Oh please , I'm Jazlyn Blake , My Fiance Aubrey Quinn , and his cousin Gallen Pritt. But you already knew that , didn't you ?" 

" How did you know Aubrey had a cousin ! that's in the new manuscript ! I haven't even finished it yet ! "

 " That's not important . Whats important is that Melissa Has Tommy , Ash has your friend Keller , and Lilly is chasing them down . We don't know who Melissa is working for , but you do. " Aubrey said .

"Why would you think that i would know who Melissa is working for? Oh for gods' sake this is insane ! You people don't exist ! your creations of my imagination ! " Mist said pacing the room , she stopped suddenly " Keller. You said Ash has Keller . She's in danger , Lilly's found them by now and shes going to kill Ash then kill Keller . " They all smiled at her . 

" I told you that she was the lost seer . " Jaz said simply " Alright then , lets go save your friend and Ash."

"My Friend ? You don't mean my Keller,do you ?" 

"Keller Jane Deveraux , 117 first street New Orleans ? Yeah that's the one. " Gallen spoke for the first time as they walked out of her living room " Well don't just stand there we have lives to save!"
